Submit your mashup and win a copy of DJ Hero!
This contest is open to any registered GigaCrate DJ/user who has accumulated at least 10 promo points. All you have to do is submit us a mashup or remix of any 2 songs of your choice. Please do not submit a mix of more than 2 songs, we are looking for remixes or mashups for this contest. You must upload artwork for your remix/mashup too. Read the "Rules" tab below for the full list of requirements.
The first place winner will win a copy of DJ Hero in the platform of your choice.

The short version
- Each participant may only submit one entry. To be eligible to submit a remix/mashup to the contest, you must be a registered GigaCrate user and meet the minimum 10 promo point requirement.
- Entries to the contest start 11/10/2009 and the deadline is 12/15/2009 .
- Public voting/rating begins 11/10/2009 and ends 12/27/2009. You will be able to rate entires on this page, below, in the "Entries" tab.
- Winner will be announced on Monday December 28, 2009.

Submit Your Entry
Uploads usually take 1-5 minutes per MB. We only accept 160kbps or better .mp3 files. Each mix file is limited to 50MB.

What happens next?
- Your MP3 will be processed. (This can take up to 8 hours depending on the size of the queue)
- In the meantime, you can visit your profile to edit your song's details. You will not be able to upload a replacement song.
- Once the submission period is over, and voting has begun, if your song is eligible and your data is complete, it will automatically be set live for people to vote on.
Full Contest Terms and Conditions
- Each participant may only submit one entry. To be eligible to submit a remix/mashup to the contest, you must be a registered GigaCrate user and meet the minimum 10 promo point requirement.
- Entries to the mix contest start 11/10/2009 and the deadline is 12/15/2009 .
- Public voting/rating begins 11/10/2009 and ends 12/27/2009. You will be able to rate entries on this page, below, in the "Entries" tab.
- Winner will be announced on Monday December 28, 2009.
- Participation is free of charge. Gigacrate.com employees, contest judges and their immediate family may not participate.
- Submissions must include a mashup or remix of any 2 songs of your choice.
- Please do not submit a mix of more than 2 songs.
- Modifying, enhancing or altering someone else's mix (excluding the required songs supplied by GigaCrate) does not constitute an original, valid contest entry.
- All entries must be .mp3 files, below 50MB, below 15 mins in length, include our usual required ID3 fields (artist, song, album, genre, year, label and track #) and at least 500px by 500px, RGB, 72dpi, .jpg artwork.
- GigaCrate assumes all entries are original creations and the work and property of the entrant with all rights granted therein. The participant retains the copyright of the submitted remix/mashup.
- GigaCrate.com is not liable for any copyright infringement on the part of the entrant.
- GigaCrate reserves the right to remove material deemed to be abusive, harmful, harassing, pornographic or in other ways unsuitable for display at www.gigacrate.com. We reserve the right to use our discretion on this point.
- The winner is determined 40% by public vote and 60% by votes from a jury of highly qualified judges.
- Submissions to the contest will not be sold.
- Submissions will be displayed on the www.gigacrate.com website.
- GigaCrate's User Agreement terms apply for all the required songs supplied.
- The submission with the highest score wins. If there is a draw, the judges' votes get preference. The winner decision will be final, no discussion will be entered into.
- Attempts at obtaining added personal voting power by registering multiple accounts or otherwise exploit the system, is strictly forbidden. Attempts at doing so may result in the voiding of votes cast and/or the removal of any entries submitted by the offender. Our decision in this respect will be final, no correspondence will be entered into.
- GigaCrate reserves the rights to, if necessary, modify the rules and/or proceedings of the contest, in order to stamp out cheating, fraud, etc. GigaCrate has taken the necessary steps to monitor the proceedings of the contest in their entirety, and will actively root out any atempts at cheating.
- Entries not complying with the contest rules are subject to disqualification without prior warning.
