DJ Joyride (Nicholas Goodroad) started at commercial-free radio at Minnesota State University - Moorhead volunteering for DragonRadio 1500am in 1999. At this station he served as Music director, reporting top 30 college and serving up new music as RPM director to the CMJ.

On-Air for more than 10 years, he now serves as a lead organizer at another Fargo-Moorhead community radio station, 96.3FM-LP KNDS Radio. His program, The FM Experiment, has been on the air since the station began broadcasting in August of 2004.

Nicholas has spent time growing the RPM presence at the station, focussing its efforts on the Friday Night Frequency Sessions. The FM Experiment will feature remix artists, including phone interviews and new music during blocks on the show. He also promotes regional and local underground and dance events.
